Old School Flatheads is a hand full of car enthusiast led by Mark Kirby A.K.A. Motor City Flatheads. We have a serious love for the historic V-8 that started it all. By all we mean the flathead motor was considered by some as the first Muscle engine. The flathead V-8 was the first and had more famous names to manufacture speed equipment to date such as Edlebrock, Offenhauser, Sharp, Navarro, and Eddy Myers, not to leave any famous names out but it goes on and on.
The flathead is also deeply involved in helping start many forms of racing such as Dry Lake, Bonneville, Nascar, Drag Racing, Dirt Track Roadsters on and on. Therefore the motor that started it all should have a car gathering that highlights the engine in all its forms. This widely spread group would include Vintage race cars, Hot Rods, Street Rods, Customs, Rat Rods, Vintage Classics Cars and Trucks, and on and on. Fortunately for all of us car enthusiasts, the Bradens, who own the 30 acres of beautiful land scaped private property with a pond, grass and trees, also love cars and have graciously extended the property for our gathering. So our intent is to have an annual gathering of these cars, supply manufacturers, events, awards, entertainment, good food and a overall good times for everyone.
